Two men traveling in a fjord in Norway were soon in for a scary awakening.
Feeling bubbles, Svein Aasjord and Trond Ivarsø stopped the engine of their boat expecting something, but we’re not sure they expected the sight of six humpback whales who soon started circling them.
Screaming things like “I could have touched that,” by the end the two friends were shaken and stunned by what had just occurred, especially at the thought of that the massive species had just missed their vessel. I guess it’s much better to laugh nervously then scream and shout to the top of your lungs. I guess that happens when you’re making your ways around Whale Island.
A California father recorded singing the Beatles hit song “Blackbird” to his premature son has went viral. Featuring Chris Picco singing to newborn Lennon in a hospital, the brave caregiver played in the hospital to Lennon throughout the final days of his life. After Picco’s wife Ashley died in her sleep, Lennon was delivered by an emergency C-section approximately 16 weeks premature leaving Picco with two tragic losses in a single week.
The video, which has had nearly 15 million views since November 12, has been accompanied with a crowdfunding campaign on YouCaring.com. The memorial fund for Ashley Picco has reached over $165,000 from supporters.
In this touching clip featuring 15-year-old Patrick Otema of North Uganda, the profoundly deaf teen is said to have “never had a conversation.” Speaking in basic gestures, the video adds that deaf people in the area are trapped in their own thoughts, in their own mind as there is no accessibility to learn as a deaf student. The video goes on to detail Raymond Okkelo, a sign language teacher, is determined to teach both Patrick and a select group of students.
By the end of the video, recorded a day after the interview with his father in their hut, you can see Patrick’s transformation: he is now enthusiastic, alert and smiling about the opportunity to learn.
Dolphins are very sophisticated, possessing an intelligence similar to a toddler, and like us, they also like to be entertained. To help provide evidence of this, Bonnie Anna “Mischief,” an Orlando-based gymnast, was in the right place at the right time. While pulling off some moves in front of the glass while the camera rolled in the background, one dolphin takes notice, and seems to laugh and cheer along.
Mesmerized by her cartwheels, Bonnie quickly makes a new friend. The dolphin even appears to try and join in the fun towards the end before swimming off, and leaving a special moment that will live on forever.
There are two kinds of people in this world: people who sing and are proud of it, and people who sing behind closed doors, but pretend it never happens. For one married couple, it was any ordinary ride in the car, that is until Salt-n-Pepa’s “None Of Your Business” came on over the speakers.
Pulling out his phone and hitting record at just the right time, he secretly captured his wife rapping the lyrics word for word. Calling her “the cutest gangsta I know,” it takes his wife nearly 40 seconds before she notices, and the well played jig is up.
The Internet is full of a lot of things, but there’s one thing that reigns supreme: cats. They litter streams on Facebook and Twitter, and they’re stars of many increasingly more popular animated GIFs. Like most situations involving cats, Lori Geee caught her fluffball in the act.
Perhaps having a flashback to the day the printer declared war with its magically moving sheets, she decided a piece of paper would be a proper resting place, and a good toy to play with. Unimpressed while carrying on for a minute, she finally takes a break after Lori interferes, likely plotting her next annoying adventure.
There are many ways parents capture their kids as they grow up. Instead of snapping a bunch of photos over the years, Frans Hofmeester recorded 15-second videos of his daughter, Lotte, each year through her 14th birthday. Stretched out over only four minutes, it gives a unique glimpse into the evolution from birth to teenager.
Helping to pull you in, Frans was able to get Mateo Messinna, a Grammy Award winning composer, to provide the soundtrack. Thanks to this video, the saying “they grow up so fast” gets a whole new meaning, and will have some parents wishing they could go back to experience those earlier moments.
Life is full of both exciting and frightening times. From getting your driver’s license to breaking a limb, it can be an elevator with all the ups and downs. Have you ever been afraid to walk into a room? No, not one of the spooky nature. Queso is a black and white pitbull with a not-so-scary habit. For some unknown reason, he’s afraid of walking straight into a room, and must waddle in backwards.
Perhaps Queso is Michael Jackson reincarnate, and trying to pull off a sick moonwalk. Either way, he helps to chisel away at the stereotype that pitbulls are vicious.
Spider-Man has a lot of responsibility keeping the streets clean and safe from criminals, but despite being crunched on time, he doesn’t forget about his biggest fans. Jayden, a five-year-old currently battling a late stage brain stem tumor, got a huge birthday surprise when the masked hero suddenly dropped in. Filmed with a hidden camera, Jayden and his mother wait outside the front door as “someone special is on their way.”
Leaping from the roof, Spider-Man, played by the father, lights up Jayden’s face like a Christmas tree, and they have a little chitchat before heading inside to celebrate a truly unforgettable birthday.
